Diesel Mechanic - 3rd shift - Kansas City

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our 3rd shift team, primarily based in our climate-controlled indoor shop with occasional service calls to job sites for truck and equipment repairs. You will work closely with the Fleet Manager, department heads, and construction foremen to maintain and optimize the operation of our fleet, which includes Class 8 trucks, pickups, and construction equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Class 8 trucks, pickups, and construction equipment
• Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on-site
• Work closely with the Fleet Manager, department heads, and construction foremen
• Ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of the fleet

Requirements

• Valid CDL with a Class A endorsement
• At least 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
• Knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
