Diesel Fleet Mechanic

About the role

Ancon provides industrial cleaning and services to customers such as refineries and power plants. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to maintain company vehicles by performing periodic diagnostic testing and preventative maintenance to identify and fix problems before they cause breakdowns. This role also involves repairing broken-down vehicles to return them to service. Traveling to job sites or maintenance locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Performs diagnosis, troubleshooting, services, and repairs on gasoline & diesel light/medium/heavy duty vehicles as well as on pumps and equipment.
• Documents, organizes, and tracks work orders and related forms necessary for billing/invoicing for parts and services performed on equipment.
• Inspects and tests vehicles and records findings so that necessary repairs can be made.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of experience doing mechanic work on gasoline & diesel light/medium/heavy duty vehicles is preferred.
• Experience with vacuum pumps, hydraulic pumps, air/electric/engine driven diaphragm pumps, and related equipment.
• Experience working with Liquid Vac and Dry Vac Trucks.
• ASE/NATEF Certified.
• Knowledge in engine mechanics, for both gasoline and diesel engines.
• Physically fit for physical work requirements.
