Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Die Setter for the weekend shift at our Fayetteville, NC site.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00–$29.76 per hour, plus an 11.12% shift premium for weekend shift hours worked.
Schedule
Core hours: 6 AM – 6 PM, Friday through Sunday.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate punch press machines using multiple progressive automatic dies and automatic feed equipment
- Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material, written and/or oral instructions
- Determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas
- Assist lower-level sheet metal fabricators/operators as required
- Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment; position work material on coil cradle/feeder
- Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach the next process in a timely fashion
- Complete preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components
- Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers; documentation/record keeping as required
- Operate punch presses and other metal-fabrication equipment; inspect parts periodically using drawings/blueprints and make necessary adjustments
- Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records; inform supervisor of any quality problems
- Transport die for installation and calibration using forklift
- Maintain equipment (punches, dies, hydraulic clamping systems, material feeder systems); perform oiling/greasing, machine settings, tooling changes, and minor adjustments
- Complete maintenance check sheets and report problems to supervisor and/or maintenance personnel
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion; keep oil deposits off the floor
- Observe all health, hygiene, and safety policies
- Dismantle previous set-ups after order termination; move dies to tool room if sharpening or maintenance is required
- Adjust presses with power and/or automatic feeds at initial set-up and during production
- Clear jams and malfunctions; administer trial runs and first-part inspection
- Ensure proper operation and placement of all safety-related equipment during set-up, operator briefing, and production
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of six months experience setting dies in a manufacturing environment
- Must live within 50 miles of the Fayetteville, NC facility (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates exempt from geographical limitation)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with machine operation
- Previous experience operating a punch press machine
Skills
- Proficiency with drawings and/or blueprints
- Able to drive a forklift and obtain forklift certification
