Job Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with others to complete die set-ups in an efficient and safe manner.
- Perform complete die sets per set-up book, including setting up presses by installing and testing dies, loading press feeders and dereelers, adjusting guides, fixtures, conveyors, and other aspects of the press.
- Obtain first-off approval of new setups, accurately measure test pieces, and adjust presses and dies to ensure parts produced meet required specifications.
- Inspect and accept/reject material and parts according to work instructions, process books, and procedures.
- Inspect and tag dies for cleaning and repair.
- Perform die or press corrections when applicable or contact proper support personnel.
- Assist in training operators on basic machine operations and quality inspections.
- Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, and work environment.
- Maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees and keep supervisors informed of conditions within the work area.
- Record data as appropriate, including classifying FunnelCloud downtime.
- Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Surveys.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Skills
Forklift and crane certified.
