Die Maker

Position Responsibilities

• Setup and operate all equipment and tooling, including manual and CNC safely.
• Design, construct, diagnose, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, Amada tooling, and other machined parts to make quality components.
• Analyze print specifications, set up and operate machine tools to manufacture parts to specifications.
• Use measuring tools, calculate Spring Life, Shut Height, Cutting and Forming Clearance, Progression, and Die Timing.
• Complete Die Changeovers and verify Set-up to Part Print for Verification.

• Safely operate all powered forklift.
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools to verify dimensions.

Physical Requirements

• Full range of body motion - bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or otherwise maneuvering of the entire body and the dexterous use of both hands.
• Heavy material handling and/or lifting will be required as described in the Physical Demands Analysis of the position.
• Must be present at work when scheduled.

Working Conditions

• Plant floor environment, standing.

Education Requirements

• Minimum: Machine Shop Technology Certificate or 2 years minimum work experience in machine shop and/or tool and die shop.
