About the role

As the Diamond V - Ruminant Nutrition Regional Sales Manager - East Coast, you will sell Diamond V’s natural immune support postbiotic feed additives directly to consumers or business purchasers, or indirectly through various sales channels. This home-based role requires you to reside in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Vermont, or the surrounding area, with up to 75% travel throughout the assigned East Coast territory. You will conduct face-to-face and remote sales, evaluate customer needs, and suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions to optimize animal health, performance, and preharvest food safety. Diamond V provides expert technical support to customers, backed by 80 years of research and innovation in postbiotic and microbial fermentation science.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential customers and manage existing customer relationships.
• Conduct market research, pricing, sales, and merchandising activities with guidance.
• Monitor customer and competitor activity, as well as industry trends.
• Protect, grow, and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
• Support business growth by promoting the organization and its products and services.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of two years of work experience in sales for ruminant nutrition, animal health, or a related field.
• Experience in the dairy industry with a focus on ruminant nutrition, optimization of animal health, and animal performance.
• Able and willing to travel up to 75%.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of sales experience.
• Experience with technical sales, including providing technical support to dairies, nutritionists, and veterinarians.
• Sales experience in animal feed, animal health, additives, and supplements.

Pay

The expected salary for this position is $75,000 – $150,000, depending on factors such as location, certifications, education, and experience. This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentive award based on company and personal performance.
