Responsibilities
- Aid in setting up, operating, and dismantling diamond/core drilling rigs.
- Manage drill rods, tooling, and core barrels during drilling operations.
- Accurately retrieve, label, and store core samples.
- Mix and manage drilling fluids and maintain circulation systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on drilling equipment.
- Keep the worksite clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Load and unload equipment, supplies, and materials.
- Comply with all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Support site preparation tasks such as clearing and leveling drill locations.
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Driller and crew.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Previous experience in drilling, construction, mining, or similar fields is beneficial.
- Capable of performing physically demanding labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.
- A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- A willingness to work long hours in outdoor and remote conditions.
- A valid driver's license is preferred, with a CDL being advantageous.
- Safety certifications in First Aid/CPR, OSHA/MSHA, and H2S are advantageous.
