Diamond/Core Driller Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid in setting up, operating, and dismantling diamond/core drilling rigs.
• Manage drill rods, tooling, and core barrels during drilling operations.
• Accurately retrieve, label, and store core samples.
• Mix and manage drilling fluids and maintain circulation systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on drilling equipment.
• Keep the worksite clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Load and unload equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Comply with all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Support site preparation tasks such as clearing and leveling drill locations.
• Communicate effectively with the Lead Driller and crew.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Previous experience in drilling, construction, mining, or similar fields is beneficial.
• Capable of performing physically demanding labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.
• A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• A willingness to work long hours in outdoor and remote conditions.
• A valid driver's license is preferred, with a CDL being advantageous.
• Safety certifications in First Aid/CPR, OSHA/MSHA, and H2S are advantageous.
