Dialysis Technician - Bemidji Dialysis - FT
Job Summary
Performs the delegated nursing interventions to the stable dialysis patient under direct supervision of the registered nurse. This may include but not limited to; initiation of dialysis, monitoring patient during treatments, discontinuing treatments, proper operation of the dialysis equipment, gathering and documenting pertinent patient information, and responding to alarms.

- Monitoring equipment and patient vitals during treatment
- Treatment Initiation and Discontinuation
- Medication Administration
- Dialysis station sanitization
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) is required.
- One-year experience in a health care environment is preferred.
- Dialysis experience preferred.
- Knowledge of various equipment/supplies and its general use, medical terminology, and computer skills preferred.
- Must possess or obtain certification as a Hemodialysis Technician from the National Nephrology Certification Commission (NNCC), the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT), or other approved certifying agency within 18 months of hire.

Department Details
Dialysis is a specialized area that will provide the nurse/technician an opportunity to build relationships with the patient. We encourage new graduates to apply as we offer a 13-week guided orientation to ensure you are successful in your role. Dialysis provides a safe and welcoming environment where we strive to provide safe quality care by working together. The unit is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. No overnights and no Sundays.
