Dialysis Registered Nurse
Job Summary
DaVita is hiring a Dialysis Nurse (RN) to provide care at their Meadowhawk Dialysis in Marysville, OH. The role involves supervising and performing direct patient care, providing dialysis therapy, analyzing patient assessments, and communicating emergencies.
About the Role
The clinic uses Fresenius 2008T machines and has 9 chairs, with 1 RN and 2 dialysis techs scheduled per shift. The position requires excellent teamwork, adaptability, dependability, leadership skills, and communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Supervises and performs direct patient care including vital signs, dialysis initiation and termination, documentation, physical assessments, and patient treatments.
- Provides dialysis therapy, formulates dialysis plans, verifies safety measures, administers medications, discontinues dialysis, and documents activities.
- Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data, and reports concerns to the physician. Documents observations and communicates emergencies.
- Affirms patient and family learning readiness and provides information on renal disease, dialysis treatment, and medical regimen.
- Develops and implements patient’s short- and long-term care plans and monthly progress notes.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience as a nurse.
- Experience in ICU, CCU, ER, or Med Surg units is helpful but not required.
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification is preferred.

Pay and Schedule
Compensation varies based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Shifts are Monday - Saturday, 4:00am - 3:00pm, with Saturdays every other week. There is a shift differential for travel and paid mileage.
