About the role
The Clinical Coordinator plays a crucial role in the USRC dialysis clinics, supporting the Administrator and contributing to the clinic's operations and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Growth Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
- Aid in patient scheduling to ensure timely acceptance and effective staffing levels.
- Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.
- Update logs and ensure accurate dialysis run sheets and logs are sent to billing.
- Coordinate clinic functions and develop standards for patient care services.
- Maintain thorough and appropriate documentation in patient records.
- Promote quality management programs through education and involvement of staff and patients.
- Review and respond to incident reports, making recommendations and taking action as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Oversee maintenance of equipment and supplies, ensuring they meet current laws and regulations.
- Respond to emergencies in the clinic and familiarize with emergency equipment and procedures.
- Supervise the maintenance of equipment, building areas, and property.
- Maintain positive relationships with medical directors, administrators, and other stakeholders.
- Actively promote guest/customer service standards and resolve inquiries or complaints.
- Ensure all staff meet required qualifications and perform duties within company policies.
- Assist with recruitment, training, development, and supervision of all personnel.
- Evaluate performance and counsel employees.
- Lead staff in team concepts and promote a team effort.
Requirements
- Current RN license in applicable state, maintained as current and in good standing.
- 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months in dialysis care.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
- Leadership skills and the ability to function in new and emergent situations.
- Working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and USRC clinical applications.
