Responsibilities
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, patient positioning, and ultrasound imaging equipment.
- Demonstrate skill and understanding of image quality.
- Communicate the nature of tests to patients and relieve their anxiety.
- Understand Radiographic Positioning, Radiographic Technique, Radiation Safety, Imaging Equipment, Infection Control, and Quality Control techniques.
- Assist in maintaining a hazard-free work area.
- Present a pleasant and helpful manner to patients, physicians, subordinates, and other department staff.
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging studies as needed.
- Vary work schedule as required.
- Provide services to all patients, families, and physicians, serving a population ranging from neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, to geriatric.
Qualifications
- Required: Obtain one of the following certifications within 1 year of hire: ARRT (R), CNMT, ARRT (NM), ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, RDMS, ARRT (S), RVT, or RVS.
- Desired: One year of ultrasound experience.
