Diagnostic Radiologist

About the role

Provide diagnostic radiology services for Alameda Health System under employment from Alameda Health Medical Group. Services will be on-site at Highland Hospital, San Leandro Hospital, and Alameda Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret various diagnostic images, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray to diagnose and monitor medical conditions.
• Work closely with referring physicians to discuss findings, provide diagnostic reports, and offer recommendations for further testing or treatment.
• Ensure high-quality imaging and diagnostic accuracy through adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiologic technologists, surgeons, and oncologists to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of diagnostic findings and patient care interactions.
• Stay current with advancements in radiology and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Completion of a four-year program to earn either a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology or Interventional Radiology (integrated program).
• Current status board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology and/or Interventional Radiology.
• Must maintain California Radiology Supervisor and Operator Certificate.
• Valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.
• Current DEA license.

Pay

Pay range: $267.19 - $277.71 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization.
