About the role
Rappahannock Community College (RCC) seeks applicants for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Adjunct Instructor positions. These positions are part-time and report to the DMS Program Head and the Dean of Health Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Teach a maximum of the equivalent of 10 workload credits in fall and spring semesters and eight workload credits in the summer term.
- Negotiate teaching assignments with the Dean of Health Sciences, including campus location, hours of instruction, and teaching load.
- Teach day, evening, and weekend classes to accommodate faculty schedules.
Requirements
- Current RDCS certification
- 3 years of documented professional experience as a cardiac sonographer
- Sufficient technology skills to work in an organization utilizing significant information and instructional technology resources
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Thorough knowledge of certification through ARDMS or CCI
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation with teaching experience at the community college level preferred
Skills
- Expertise in oral and written communication with students and peers
Benefits
Salary will be $793 to $1,463 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
