About the role
Onsite sonographer in the OBGYN department, responsible for performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with standards and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history and physician orders
- Educate patients about procedures
- Prepare and administer contrast media if needed
- Monitor patient condition
- Select imaging parameters
- Ensure safety and quality control
- Troubleshoot equipment
- Perform imaging
- Analyze results and report findings
- May assist with student training
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- Certification as RDMS, RVT, RDCS, or ARRT Sonography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
