Role Overview: Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with professional standards, organizational policies, and patient safety guidelines. Responsibilities: Reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients about procedures, prepares and administers contrast media or medications, monitors patient condition, and ensures equipment readiness. Selects imaging parameters, performs quality control, troubleshoots equipment issues, and captures high-quality images. Analyzes results, reports findings, and may collaborate with radiology students. Maintains safety standards and ensures patient comfort and cooperation. Qualifications & Skills: Must be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound or diagnostic medical sonography program. Certified as RDMS, RVT, RDCS, or ARRT in Sonography, with applicable state licensure if required. BLS certification is necessary. Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Key Duties: Conducts ultrasound exams, ensures image quality, documents and reports findings, and educates patients. Maintains equipment, adheres to safety protocols, and supports ongoing professional development. This onsite role requires full-time commitment and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
