Diagnostic Medical Sonographer III

About the role

A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a credentialed medical professional with academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and completed ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration, which is the standard of practice in Ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of ultrasound equipment.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent (or higher)
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration required (physics and one specialty exam AB, OB/GYN)
• 5 years of experience as US technologist (sonographer)

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, current BLS certification, ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration, and 5 years of experience as a US technologist (sonographer).

Skills

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

• Primary Shift: Night
• Monday - Thursday: 7:30pm - 6:00am
• Rotating holidays
• No On Call
• No Weekends
