Diagnostic Mechanic II - Hydromet

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities with increased complexity.
- Complete Work Orders, order parts, and other maintenance documentation.
- Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on process equipment such as pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, filters, etc.
- Capable of performing equipment lubrication.
- Competent in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, welding, bearings, basic metallurgy (stress cracking, metal compatibility), conveyor systems, plumbing, alignment, machine shop, blueprints, schematics, and mobile equipment.
- Qualified to operate small and large cranes and knowledgeable of safe rigging practices.
- Follow and understand MSHA and/or OSHA rules and regulations, Environmental rules and regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions.
- Participate in safety and environmental activities.
- Use plant and equipment correctly at all times.
- Aid in training employees in the mechanical maintenance area.
- Assist in additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Four (4) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction).
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists).
- Pass a written assessment where required, based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge, as well as safety.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

- High School Diploma or GED.
What You Bring To Freeport

Pay and Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $32.00 - $44.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
