Diagnostic Mammography Tech (up to $55.00/Hr)

About the role

Join a growing women's imaging team in Charlotte as a Mammography Technologist with MedQuest, an outpatient imaging provider partnered with Novant Health. Facilities include Ballantyne, SouthPark, Langtree, and Lillington locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography procedures and assist with biopsies and other diagnostic interventions.
• Provide critical diagnostic information to physicians and evaluate abnormal findings.
• Assist with invasive procedures such as biopsies and aspirations under physician guidance.
• Train and mentor diagnostic mammographers and participate in advanced diagnostic procedures.
• Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate diagnostic information to attending physicians.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after mammography procedures.
• Maintain patient records and medical notes related to diagnostic mammography.
• Perform equipment maintenance and sterilization to keep mammography machines in optimal condition.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort.
• Participate in quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of practice.
• Stay informed about the latest developments and trends in diagnostic mammography.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system for patient documentation and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification in Mammography (M) and Breast Sonography (BS).
• 3+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
