Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
1 year of related experience
Experience in developing diagnostic content for either or both electrified propulsion system and conventional.
Knowledge of Diagnostic Protocols (Keyword 2000 and UDS)
Knowledge of CAN messaging structure & protocol for the CAN-Bus layer
Knowledge of electrical systems test interface tools
Strong verbal/written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Good understanding of vehicle propulsion system (conventional and/or electrified)
Experience in developing more sophisticated diagnostic strategies, such as, but not limited to, aftertreatment diagnostics, evaporative leak detection diagnostics, or comprehensive component monitoring (circuit checks, rationalities and functional checks including automatic learnings)
Familiarity with the following programming: C++, MatLab/Simulink, Pseudo code modification
Utilizing a multi-functional tool chain, requiring familiarity with IBM Rational ALM, DNG, etc.
Strong facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills with ability to work directly with individuals and groups.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
Strong leadership behaviors in multi-disciplinary (cross-functional) team
Strong project coordination skills
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Familiar with Office365 suite
Capable of creating Logical as well as Physical Schematics
Experience authoring Requirements and specifications
Highest motivation/self-starter with proven leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

About the Role

The Diagnostic Maintainability and Deployment engineer develops technical policies for the vehicle assembly plant end of line and technical policies for the vehicle Diagnosability and Service.

Responsibilities

Collects the Diagnostic requirements from other teams and adds all the necessary requirements for diagnosability and end-of-line/Aftersales and Analysis support consolidating everything in a single work product that can be delivered to different organizations called DDT Mark-Up.
Defines the Environmental Parameters readable on all the propulsion ECUs for first level analysis in case of fault.
Develops all the technical documentation for the Propulsion controllers. These documents are based on the Diagnostic specification defined above. These documents report all actions requested at service to repair the vehicle.

Qualifications

Collects, analyzes, and organizes propulsion system component information for a specific program.
Ensures accurate documentation and assessment of impacts on plant and aftersales processes, supporting program execution and cross-functional collaboration.
