About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Department at Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, seeks a Sonographer to perform imaging examinations on all ages of patients, contributing to efficient operations and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs imaging examinations on newborn through geriatric patients.
  • Contributes to the efficient operations of the department.
  • Ensures the quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Uses specific training in imaging modality to provide excellent patient care.
  • Performs responsibilities of receptionist/clerk or other department duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred.
  • Current registration with ARDMS may be accepted in lieu of accredited graduation.
  • Current ARDMS (Abdomen or OB/GYN) or equivalent required.
  • Multiple specialties preferred.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Two years post-graduation experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform ultrasound exams including detailed fetal surveys preferred.
  • GE ultrasound experience preferred.
  • Trophon experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred.
