About the role
Manages the operations and activities of general radiology services at a 162-bed hospital and Level III Trauma Center with a 24-hour emergency room. Provides accountability to the Radiology Leader for operating and capital budget performance and fiscal responsibilities. Responsible for planning, development, implementation of policies, procedures, and systems to meet the mission and goals of SMDC Radiology and comply with requirements from the Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Performs hiring, orienting, counseling, evaluating, and disciplinary actions as warranted. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and developed.

Requirements
- Graduate of or actively seeking a degree from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree (radiologic technology, an allied health/science area, or in healthcare/business management) and two years of healthcare leadership experience
- OR minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in supervising/managing radiology clinical operations including proven experience and success with implementing significant organizational change, setting performance measurements, establishing budget plans and monitoring process, strategic planning, program development and implementation, and process improvement techniques
