Diagnostic Automotive Technician

About the role

Carencro Automotive Center is hiring a Diagnostic Automotive Technician to support our growing customer base in the Lafayette and Carencro area. We are looking for an experienced technician who can diagnose problems, communicate clearly with the team, and fix vehicles correctly the first time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose drivability, electrical, suspension, and mechanical issues
• Perform repairs across a wide range of makes and models
• Use modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Communicate findings clearly with advisors and team members
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of automotive repair experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to pursue them)
• Own hand tools
• Clean driving record
• Dependable, team-oriented attitude

Schedule & Benefits

• Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• No nights or weekends
• Potential 4-day work week scheduling for the right technician
