Diagnostic Assessor – Psychologist
About the role
The Diagnostic Assessor – Psychologist is a hybrid role that leverages a psychologist’s expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental disorders assessments. The position provides diagnostic assessments and second-opinion evaluations to Catalight Care Services clients, using diagnostic tools, intelligence measures, adaptive functioning measures, and neuropsychological measures in alignment with clinical best practices. The Diagnostic Assessor is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic assessment, including preparation, administration, establishing DSM-5 diagnoses, and writing summary and full diagnostic reports for inclusion in the client’s medical record. As needed, the Assessor also conducts Diagnostic Intake Assessments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, complete, and submit diagnostic assessments within established timelines.
- Ensure the quality of diagnostic assessments.
- Communicate with client families about diagnostic results.
- Communicate with funders/partners regarding results of diagnostic assessments.
- Provide clinical report review and oversight.
Requirements
- Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychiatrist, or Licensed Doctor of Education.
- Minimum of 5 years’ psychological assessment experience.
- Experience administering ADOS-2, Mullen Scales of Early Learning, Vineland, and WISC-V (required).
- Experience with VB-MAPP, AFLS, DP-3, and DAS-II (preferred).
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and completing diagnostic reports.

- Demonstrated experience developing effective processes and standard operating procedures.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining optimal communication channels with providers.
- Excellent analytical skills with experience defining data and reporting requirements, analyzing data, and translating trends into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while multitasking and managing day-to-day responsibilities without supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Proficient understanding of Provider Network Operations, billing and claims processing, authorizations, and billing codes.
- Highly detail-oriented.

Conditions of Employment
- Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
- Ability to travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation required.
- Valid Driver’s License with insurance and a clean driving record.
- Must pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations, and clear TB testing based on company policies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
- Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing through funding source(s) if applicable.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Maintain active psychologist licensure in the State of California.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Safety Care certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CAQH credential.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NPI number.
- Must attend all required training.
Pay
$145,000 - $155,000 annually.
