About the Role
A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a credentialed medical professional with academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice includes those procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and completed ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration, which is the standard of practice in Ultrasound.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent (or higher)
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ARDMS or ARRT (US) registration required (physics and one specialty exam AB, OB/GYN)
- 2 years of experience as US technologist (sonographer)
Schedule
- Primary Shift: Day, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Call after hours and weekends shared with other technologists
- On Call: Yes
- Weekends: Rotating
This position is listed as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II, but based on the minimum requirements met, the candidate of choice will be hired as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer I, II, III, or IV.
