As a Diabetes Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quotas and objectives for ADC products. You will collaborate with various channels, including Managed Care, Retail, and Point of Care representatives, and establish strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external healthcare constituents such as physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and Certified Diabetes Educators (CDEs).

Responsibilities

  • Meeting or exceeding sales quotas/objectives for ADC products.
  • Collaborating with various channels, Managed Care, Retail, and Point of Care representatives.
  • Establishing strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external healthcare constituents (e.g., physicians, nurses, pharmacists, CDEs).
  • Acting in a friendly, respectful, adaptive manner while focusing on the needs and interests of others.
  • Keeping current on internal and competitive products and positioning by utilizing a variety of resources.
  • Understanding and conveying information professionally and accurately.
  • Effectively planning for and following through with short- and long-term results based on business trends by developing plans that include goals, action plans, time frames, and the appropriate resources.
  • Keeping current in market trends and competitor strategy.
  • Engaging in sales-focused activities including:
    • Conveying information and ideas clearly and concisely, answering questions, responding to others, and listening carefully to understand the needs of providers and patients.
    • Positioning products and services using appropriate resources and confident, convincing logic; tailoring sales approach to meet customer needs.
    • Utilizing and distributing appropriate resources.
    • Handling disagreements and objections by exploring perspectives and tactfully addressing them.
  • Developing and implementing plans (e.g., territory, account, and call) that include goals, action items, time frames, and resources.
  • Regularly tracking and reporting progress against the plan, redirecting efforts as necessary.
  • Completing all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion, including documenting daily activity in call reporting/tracking systems.
  • Maintaining accountability for all samples in accordance with division guidelines.
  • Working within quality guidelines established for compliance.
  • Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Complying with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of previous experience with a commendable sales track record, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, high energy, integrity, and ambition to succeed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A strong preference given to candidates with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Diabetes clinical knowledge and experience calling on Endocrinologists.

Pay

The base pay for this position is $68,000.00 – $136,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
