The Department of Ambulatory Services at Barnes-Jewish Hospital consists of the multidisciplinary staff of BJH Ambulatory Services including responsibility for the GI Labs, Minor Procedure Center, Pain Management Center, Diabetes Center, Resident Clinics, Wound/Ostomy Center and other services as assigned. This department assures that all customers receive the highest level of attention and prompt, courteous service.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors patients' response and modifies plan of care accordingly.
  • Provides accurate documentation as required.
  • Delivers direct patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
  • Develops and implements individual plans of care in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
  • Educates patients and their families on how to manage their condition.
  • Maintains a caseload of patients and promotes program development.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma/Associate's in Nursing, Nutrition, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of RN experience with Diabetes exposure.
  • RN license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
