Job Summary
Western Reserve Pure Water is seeking a customer-focused DI Route Delivery Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will consult with existing customers to determine the products and/or amount of products needed to meet their needs, representing the company professionally and positively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly.
- Familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers' requests to complete the scheduled route.
- Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled.
- Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner.
- Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries.
- Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and the proper product handling associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and additional products as applicable.
- Provide information about products to customers when necessary.
- Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly.
- Promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday.
- Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, while entering accurate information concerning the customer and abiding by all rules concerning its use.
- Operate delivery vehicles safely; adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations.
- Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIR’s) and report any issues to management.
Qualifications
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License.
- Successfully pass a DOT Physical & DOT Drug Screen.
- Pass a criminal background check per Company requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age or older and able to pass and maintain a driving record check to be insurable by the Company to operate a company vehicle.
- Able to safely operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs. daily for approximately 8-10 hours.
- Able to lift up to 90lbs on a repetitive basis.
- Remain physically capable, with or without reasonable accommodation, of performing the duties required of this position.
