DevSecOps Platform Engineer - Vice President

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Vice President to join the Platform Infrastructure team. This team is crucial for maintaining smooth and secure operations in both production and development environments. The role involves leveraging advanced cloud capabilities to support the company's agile and lean operating strategies, with a strong emphasis on quality.

Responsibilities

• Build highly available solutions across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) stack, with a primary focus on an internet-facing fintech site.
• Coordinate with the Information Security Team to address security issues related to platforms, CI/CD pipelines, or development tools.
• Contribute to security best practices by shifting security left and fostering a strong security culture within the DevOps and Platform Infrastructure teams.
• Develop and maintain tools to support the development environment on MacOS and Linux, with a focus on enhancing developer productivity.
• Maintain site reliability by building highly scalable systems that integrate resiliency and high availability at all levels.
• Develop software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure, enabling fully automatic workflows.
• Design and operate a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with 4+ years of AWS experience
• 6+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar frameworks
• 3+ years of experience with security best practices in AWS, including remediating SecurityHub findings
• 3+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools, including SAST tools, DAST tools, and SCA tools
• Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment is strongly desired
• Strong Linux OS-level and command-line and scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
• Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, and DynamoDB
• Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable and reusable code in Python, Ruby or Java is desired
• Experience with computer provisioning on a Cloud based platform using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
• Experience building a Microservice-based architecture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to design and implement complex, but easily manageable, automated infrastructure
• A desire to share, teach, and learn as part of a team
• Expert level knowledge of networking
• Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting
• Experience with debugging issues with the FIX protocol, including maintaining and establishing FIX sessions and/or session management and order routing
• Experience in system tuning and performance testing

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000. iCapital offers a comprehensive compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
