DevSecOps Engineer - Top Secret Clearance Required to Start

Selected candidate must have a Final Top Secret security clearance prior to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. This is a mid-career (level 3) role where candidates typically require 5 years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Requirements

  • Security+ or CISSP / DoD 8140 compliant certification
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, AWS Cloud Formation)
  • Kubernetes and containerization experience

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate new technologies into the software development process
  • Maintain development infrastructure and perform to customer specifications
  • Perform system administration functions to support development efforts
  • Develop and integrate security into CI/CD pipelines using automation tools (e.g., Argo CD, Ansible, GitLab CI, automated security testing tools)
  • Assess, prioritize, and manage security risks in alignment with business objectives
  • Ensure DevSecOps practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to information security
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams
  • Articulate security concerns and solutions effectively
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, technologies, and DevSecOps trends
  • Identify and solve security and operational challenges in a timely and effective manner
  • Leverage automation to streamline security integration

Skills

  • Proficient in coding, scripting, and automation tools
  • Knowledgeable in cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Deep understanding of security principles, practices, and tools
  • Familiar with threat modeling, risk assessment techniques, and security testing tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with GitOps, Helm, and GitLab/Git CI/CD pipeline automation
  • Strong documentation skills
