About the role
The DevSecOps Engineer at Arcticom, LLC supports Oracle EBS solution Architecture, Oracle Database, Real Application Clusters, Governance Risk & Compliance, Oracle Discoverer, User Productivity Kit, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) suite, BPEL, Oracle Single Sign-on, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Internet Directory, Application Development Framework, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle OEM, Fusion Middleware, OBIEE, Flex Deploy, and Groovy programming language in a Cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing and new releases of high-level Enterprise architectures to verify and document compliance as well as identify compliance gaps.
- Expertise to align system requirements with functional business processes of advanced supply chain planning and requirements; maintenance, repair and overhaul; and financial management processes ensuring proposed solutions align to enterprise.
- Research and expand the technical architecture to support the functional capability, system performance, scalability and Cybersecurity needs of the application and supporting.
- Understand, validate, plan and track the holistic view of the solution software, hardware, integration, compatibility and alignment to overall.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of software, hardware, network and Cybersecurity design changes relative to middle-tier configuration, redundancy, performance, and scalability.
- Develop physical and logical architecture documentation as necessary to support required compliance requirements.
- Support implementation and execution of system design; including software, hardware, network, and Cybersecurity.
- Research and expand the technical architecture to support the functional capability, system performance, scalability and Cybersecurity needs of the application and underlying infrastructure.
- Understand, validate, plan, and track the holistic view of the solution software, hardware, integration, compatibility, and alignment to overall mission.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of software, hardware, network, and Cybersecurity design changes relative to middle-tier configuration, redundancy, performance, and scalability.
- Develop physical and logical architecture artifacts as necessary to tracks required compliance requirements.
- Evaluate existing and new releases of high-level enterprise architectures to verify and document compliance as well as identify compliance gaps.
- Configure and manage virtualized environments, SAN and NAS storage, and networking.
- Perform software installations, patching, configurations, and product integration.
- Contribute to the development of policies, workflows, DevSecOps and process automation including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline development in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the continuous deployment software pipeline.
- Review associated documentation, updates, installation instructions, design documentation and development of technical release, notes.
- Utilize AGILE development tools to reduce burden of documentation deliverables and increase visibility of program efforts internally and externally. This includes working with the stakeholders to streamline documentation requirements and delivery methods as much as practical.
- Deliver technical expertise and leadership on system engineering processes, designs, and test support for the following activities:
- Provide oversight into custom solution activities including reviews of functional and technical designs and System Integrator (SI) developed custom code.
- Validate proper design foundations of RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and Extensions) per Oracle recommended guidelines and organizational Architectural standards to satisfy requirements and maintain Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) upgradability.
- Recommend improvements to the data integration architecture, technical architecture, and implementation of leading systems engineering practices for efficient and reliable interface design to fully leverage existing integrations products such as SOA Suite.
- Facilitate interface meetings with Trading Partners and System Implementers, as necessary, to establish interface agreements and to agree upon interface approaches in alignment with Oracle best practices and Architectural standards.
- Analyze, investigate, and assess enterprise systems and corresponding processes and controls compliance with financial laws, regulations, and policies. Specific tasks include:
- Develop and support integrated systems compliance assessment strategy designed to identify gaps and potential impacts on internal controls and corresponding financial reporting.
- Develop and coordinate updates to checklists, instructions, templates to accommodate changes driven by new or changed DBSs into the enterprise (e.g., forms, data element, task, and procedural changes).
- Investigate auditor observations and/or findings, recommend solutions, and coordinate program responses.
- Aid in development and/or review of system compliance documentation requirements, to ensure business processes and controls will be effective when the system is implemented and will help ensure that new processes and related controls will meet audit readiness objectives.
Requirements
- Education Requirements: Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Level of Experience Requirements: Experience with On-Prem and/or cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and support.
- Experience with navigating core processes, team responsibilities, and multiple environments.
- Experience with FlexDeploy tasks and JIRA ticketing systems.
- Experience working with open-source software and tooling.
- Release automation, (e.g., Jenkins), system administration, system configuration, and system debugging experience.
- Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools.
- Experience with scripting in Python, Ruby, JSON, Go or Bash.
- Experience with large-scale, distributed COTS solutions deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Qualifications
- Preferred: Hold a Federal government SECRET clearance.
- Prior military service.
- Experience working with the federal government.
