DevOps Support Engineer - Linux
About the Role
Susquehanna is seeking a DevOps Support Engineer to join our Market Data Operations team at our Philadelphia headquarters. You'll collaborate with software developers and business teams to support our production trading environment, assessing, triaging, and resolving technical issues. Our evolving technology framework offers opportunities to enhance your technical skills, with project work spanning development, platform engineering, testing, and business analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support for proprietary trading systems
- Troubleshoot and support Linux-based systems
- Deploy and maintain critical applications
- Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code
- Support and collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
- Communicate with business and technology teams during production issues
- Work on diverse projects based on business needs and personal interests
Requirements
- Experience in application support, operations, DevOps, systems administration, or a related role
- Scripting experience (e.g., Bash, Python) and a focus on automating repetitive tasks
- Unix and Linux command line knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and effective troubleshooting and communication skills during system outages
- Ability to integrate AI tools into daily workflows effectively and responsibly
Qualifications
A BS in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, etc.) is preferred.
