DevOps Software Engineer - TS/SCI

Responsibilities

• Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability
• Support systems administration, installation, configuration, and the broader adoption of DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Strong Linux proficiency
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana

Qualifications

• Experience operating systems at scale
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Development experience (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.)
• Experience supporting enterprise or production systems
• Familiarity with: Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS), Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), GPU-based Kubernetes, SALT for deployment automation, Helm / Helmfile, Nexus
