DevOps SME
Leidos is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a 200+ FTE technical development program delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. In this role, you will build robust systems and software leveraging cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Operating within a DevOps framework, you will contribute to or lead major deliverables across the software development lifecycle, including scope estimation, architecture, design, coding, and unit testing. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7/365 operational support for mission-critical services, typically involving one full calendar week of on-call duty every two months.
Responsibilities
- Support and direct major deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, including scope and work estimation, architecture, design, coding, and unit testing.
- Utilize DevOps tools and practices to deliver software solutions.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Administer and maintain Nexus repositories.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and ECS, including orchestration, deployment, and scaling in production environments.
- Script and utilize AWS services, including CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure mission-critical services remain operational.
- Collaborate in an Agile development environment, using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Apply software testing performance tools such as JUnit.
- Optimize containerized applications and adhere to container security best practices.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Master’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience (or additional experience in lieu of a degree).
- Expertise in Linux operating system usage.
- Expertise with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck.
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and AWS services (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc.).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, Kubernetes) and container orchestration.
- Experience with Nexus administration.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Familiarity with version control systems and issue/problem tracking systems.
Qualifications (Desired)
- Experience with Elastic tools.
- Experience working in the Sponsor’s cloud environments.
- Advanced Nexus administration and maintenance skills.
Pay
Pay Range: $154,050.00 - $278,475.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreements, and other relevant laws.
