DevOps Engineer II

About The Role

The DevOps Engineer II at RxBenefits plays a critical role in managing and optimizing our DevOps infrastructure. This position involves the daily administration and operation of our DevOps stack, ensuring seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of our applications. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Development, Infrastructure, and Security teams to develop and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, automate operational processes, and implement robust monitoring and observability practices. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, with a focus on automation, security, and continuous improvement. The DevOps Engineer II will also serve as a knowledge resource within the organization, promoting DevOps best practices and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in DevOps or a closely related field
• Extensive experience with core AWS platform architecture
• Strong knowledge of Linux-based infrastructures and administration
• Scripting skills with the ability to develop scripted AWS infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with cloud automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, ArgoCD, or GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of scripting languages including Perl, Ruby, Python, and Bash
• Familiarity with web servers such as Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and Nginx
• Experience working with microservice architectures
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon Container Services
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to issue detection and resolution
• Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Jira
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively
• Process and technical documentation skills
• Time management and multitasking capabilities

• Design and implement AWS-enabled CI/CD platforms to streamline development and deployment processes
