DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work hand in hand with great devops engineers building out devops best practices in the federal space.
• Create and document CI/CD jobs.
• Create infrastructure with CloudFormation.
• Help define and build a modern data science/development environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. In alignment with federal contract requirements, certain roles may also require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation and/or a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Skills

• Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Proficiency in managing AWS environments (ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS) and supporting Linux-based systems.
• Strong background with Docker and container orchestration, including debugging and optimization.
• Familiarity with data science platforms such as SageMaker, DataZone, and Athena.
• Familiarity with Python and Go.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented mindset with experience working in Agile development teams.
• Self-starter with strong assertiveness and initiative; able to take ownership of tasks, proactively navigate blockers, and drive through completion.
