Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure & Orchestration
- Design and maintain production-grade infrastructure on AWS and Azure using Terraform.
- Manage and scale Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) clusters, including Helm chart management, ingress controllers, and cluster security.
- Linux Administration: Advanced administration of Ubuntu/Linux environments, including performance tuning, shell scripting (Bash/Python), and hardening.
- Implement automated testing and quality gates within the deployment flow.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions) to automate the software delivery lifecycle.
- Implement centralized logging (ELK/Splunk) and metrics monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) to ensure system health.
- Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets; implement distributed tracing to troubleshoot microservices.
- Configure auto-scaling groups and load balancers to handle fluctuating traffic patterns effectively.
- Integrate security scanning (SAST/DAST) and vulnerability assessment into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Implement cloud security standards (CIS benchmarks, IAM least privilege, and network segmentation).
- Securely manage credentials using HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Cloud: Hands-on experience with both AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM) and Azure (Virtual Machines, VNet, Entra ID).
- IaC: Expert-level knowledge of Terraform (modules, state management, and workspaces).
- Orchestration: Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture (Pods, Services, Deployments, ConfigMaps).
- OS: Strong proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu), including networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall).
- Security: Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and implementing encryption at rest and in transit.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to collaborate in an Agile environment.
