Devops Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in migrating our medical imaging software to a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud migration, DevOps practices, and medical imaging technologies. This role involves working collaboratively with development, operations, and QA teams to ensure a smooth and secure transition of our medical imaging software to the cloud, while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure for medical imaging software.
• Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to meet the specific requirements of medical imaging applications.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software updates and new features.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage configuration management practices to ensure consistency across environments.
• Implement monitoring solutions to track the performance and health of cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Optimize resource utilization and application performance to ensure cost-efficiency and high availability.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure and applications comply with healthcare data security standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Implement best practices for cloud security, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to support the cloud migration process.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful deployment and operation of medical imaging software in the cloud.
• Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
• Document cloud architecture, migration plans, and operational procedures.
• Provide regular updates and reports on migration progress, system performance, and security compliance.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and healthcare IT standards.
• Continuously improve migration strategies, processes, and tools based on feedback and lessons learned.
• Train and mentor team members on DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and medical imaging software requirements.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a focus on cloud migration and medical imaging technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of healthcare data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
