DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who provides support to Cloud & BigData infrastructure, applications, and SQL/NoSQL database management for both on-premise and cloud-based systems of organization products and enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure monitoring and reporting for Hadoop, Cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Execute supporting tasks including code deployment, managing source control systems, virtual servers, and scripting.
• Implement, secure, and maintain computer systems for test, development, and production environments.
• Identify and analyze system performance issues, working closely with the product development team to recommend solutions.
• Assess system discrepancies, evaluate risks, and implement solutions while adhering to security standards.
• Write and modify scripts for application deployments and system monitoring.
• Develop and oversee backup, replication, clustering, and failover strategies.
• Perform Linux administration duties, including software upgrades, virus protection, and code updates.
• Maintain Hadoop Clusters and Microservices.
• Support different application stacks such as Java, Python, Golang, NodeJS, and RoR.
• Set up and manage DC-DR (Disaster Recovery) environments using Linux scripting.
• Prepare synchronization scripts for backup and routine development environments.
• Work with monitoring tools to check and record web server health, particularly Apache.

Requirements

• Experience with Linux servers in virtualized and cloud environments (OpenStack, AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Familiarity with scripting languages fundamentals.
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Apache, MySQL, etc.
• Strong grasp of configuration management tools like GitHub, SVN, and Chef.
• Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, and network tools (e.g., iptables, Linux IPVS, HAProxy).
• Experience with virtualization technologies.
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers.
• Knowledge of servers and switches.

Qualifications

• UG: B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization
• PG: MCA (Computers), M.Tech in any specialization, or MS/M.Sc (Science) in any specialization
