DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a technology solutions provider company located in San Francisco, CA, needs a hybrid DevOps Engineer for a full-time position. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for helping lead the company into automated networks. They will be responsible for designing and building automation that performs network software updates, configurations, changes, compliance checks and other tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automation for network software updates
• Design and build automation for network configurations
• Design and build automation for network changes
• Design and build automation for compliance checks
• Perform other network automation tasks as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience including recent experience in network automation or NetDevOps role
• Previous experience automating networks in larger environments in an Azure environment
• 5+ years of experience working with Cisco switches and routers, including STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, QoS, HSRP, and VLANs
• 2+ years of Python development experience for automating networks
• 1+ years of experience with monitoring and assurances platforms such as Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus Dashboard, and Forward Networks
• Previous experience working in financial services company
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to work onsite in San Francisco Monday-Thursday

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant Certifications such as CCNP Enterprise or Cisco Certified DevNet
• Previous experience with building AIOPS pipelines
• Experience working in ITIL environments
• Some exposure to Bloomberg, CRD, Eagle, or other financial investment platforms

Pay

The expected base salary range for this role is: 140K-180K per year.

Schedule

Hybrid – ability to work onsite in San Francisco Monday-Thursday.
