About the role

As a DevOps engineer, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. You will also support the development of critical cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage container management software to solve client challenges
  • Guide automation strategy and mentor junior engineers
  • Lead CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps maturity efforts
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and maintain automation capabilities using Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform
  • Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in IT, automation, or computer systems support
  • Experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving automation issues
  • Experience with automation for CI/CD builds, regression testing, monitoring, or pipelines
  • Experience in automation using Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Experience with operating systems such as RHEL and Windows
  • Experience with virtualization, including VMware
  • Experience supporting DoD or government agencies with a Secret clearance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, efficient CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)
  • Experience with application containerization
  • Experience modeling network configurations in JSON or YAML
  • Experience with network automation using Python or Ansible
  • T/S clearance
  • Master’s degree in STEM

  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git

Schedule

Employees working remotely or on a hybrid schedule may be required to work from a Booz Allen office or customer facility, depending on the role and specific needs.
