About the role
We are seeking a skilled AWS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and cost-efficiency of our AWS environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, etc.).
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and security using AWS tools and third-party solutions.
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Manage IAM roles, policies, and security best practices.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like CloudFormation or CDK.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, etc.
- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD tools and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and train/mentor team members.
- May have direct reports (less than 50% of time is spent on supervisory activities).
- Travel up to 10% may be required; specific assignments may have additional travel requirements.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Technical Degree Preferred) and 4 years of relevant experience OR 6 years of relevant experience.
