About the role
As a DevOps Engineer, you will build and set up new development tools and infrastructure by applying expertise in continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, cloud technologies, container orchestration, and security. This role requires 60% onsite client work (3 days per week) in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities
- Build and test end-to-end continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines while ensuring system security.
- Execute pipeline enhancements to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
- Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements to optimize automation and system performance.
- Contribute to documentation of best practices and standard operating procedures for development and deployment workflows.
- Support adoption of new tools and technologies that enhance security and scalability within the development environment.
- Perform independently and act as a subject matter expert, actively participating in team discussions and providing solutions to work-related challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of work experience.
- Master proficiency in DevOps.
- Experience with the following technologies and practices:
- OpenShift, Linux Administration, Shell Scripting
- Release DevOps CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible Tower, XL Release Management
- Production Support, Platform Security, Vulnerability Management
- Automation, Configuration Management, Capacity Planning
- Monitoring, Incident Escalation Management, POC Technology Evaluation
- Agile, Cross-team Collaboration
- Associate's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expert proficiency in Jenkins.
- Advanced proficiency in Continuous Improvement Techniques, Configuration & Release Management, and Cloud Automation DevOps.
- Bachelor's Degree.
