About the role
You will accelerate your career by gaining hands-on power distribution and control product knowledge plus a 3rd optional rotation gaining manager of people experience. The Applications Engineering Leadership Development Program is a two-year rotational (optional 3rd year) program designed to develop future application engineers within our Electrical Sector.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to the Applications Engineering function as well as the Sales Engineering function at each assignment location (Eaton manufacturing locations).
- Receive exposure to manufacturing and test functions as well as end customers.
- Optional 3rd year assignment as a Product Supervisor at a manufacturing site.
- Program is designed to give one year in Power Distribution products and one year in Control products.
- Participate in formal presentations to showcase success stories to leaders of the organization and receive feedback on performance.
- Travel up to 25% within a local region as determined by the Applications Engineering program manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date before July 2027.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.
- Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of relevant experience completed at the time of this application.
- Geographically flexible to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Development Program to an Eaton facility including Arden, NC; Greenwood, SC; Fayetteville, NC; Sumter, SC; El Paso, TX; Portland, OR; etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- At least 6 credit hours in Power Systems.
- 2 or more relevant internship or co-op experiences with prior experience in Utility and/or Power Distribution.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.
Pay
The expected annual salary for this role is $82,000 a year. This position offers a one-time $6,000 signing bonus. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
