Job Summary
CatholicVote is seeking a Development Officer to advance its mission by cultivating relationships, securing new gifts and pledges, and stewarding major donors.
Responsibilities
- Helping supporters grow in the virtue of generosity by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio or prospects
- Scheduling in-person meetings with donor prospects and making direct asks for immediate and long-term funding support
- Deepening relationships with existing donors by sharing the incredible impact our organization is having on the culture of the Church and the world
- Significant travel will be required to visit prospects and donors
- Spending a high percentage of your time in virtual meetings and on the phone educating, cultivating, and stewarding prospects and donors
- Tracking your activity in our customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Working with the Development team to achieve fundraising goals
Qualifications
- Passion for furthering the mission and vision of CatholicVote
- Proven success in fundraising, development, or sales
- A results-driven personality
- Great people skills. You make friends easily and keep them for a long time
- Persuasive speaking and writing skills
- Organized. Prepared. Disciplined about following-up
- Comfortable with technology and a highly data-driven environment
