Development Manager - Indianapolis, IN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager to join a well-capitalised, vertically integrated real estate investment and development platform focused on industrial, logistics and e-commerce assets. You will play a key role in delivering high-profile development projects from land acquisition through to construction completion and asset stabilisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and support the acquisition of strategic development land opportunities.
• Manage due diligence activities including surveys, environmental assessments, geotechnical investigations, zoning reviews and entitlement processes.
• Oversee external consultants throughout planning, design and pre-construction phases.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules and development underwriting models.
• Support leasing and business development initiatives through site planning, project feasibility and proposal preparation.
• Lead contractor procurement processes and assist with contract negotiations.
• Monitor project performance, mitigate development risks and report on cost, schedule and quality metrics through construction delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Finance, Real Estate or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate development.
• Experience delivering industrial, logistics, e-commerce, distribution or data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of land acquisition, entitlement, municipal approvals and development processes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, development budgets and financial models.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and proactively manage development risk.
• Strong commercial acumen with a solutions-focused approach.
