Development Engineer Software

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical execution of embedded software projects for HVAC devices used in data centers.
• Guide and coordinate internal and external software developers to ensure high-quality output.
• Design and implement software that adheres to advanced security standards, including OCP (Open Compute Project) guidelines.
• Integrate and manage data center-specific communication protocols, with a focus on the Redfish REST API.
• Collaborate closely with other domains (I&V, Sensing, Hardware) to ensure system requirements are met.
• Translate system requirements into coherent software architecture and actionable technical tasks.
• Ensure the seamless integration of features from underlying embedded platforms (RTOS, Matlab/Simulink).
• Communicate project status, challenges, and successes to all relevant stakeholders.

Who You Are

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of technical experience leading software development projects for embedded systems
• Strong background in project management of technical project leadership
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (Hardware, QA, etc.)
• Familiarity with data center infrastructure and management protocols, like REST APIs
• Understanding of advanced security standards for critical infrastructure, such as OCP (Open Compute Project) guidelines
• Deep technical understanding of embedded systems, including hardware functions (sensing, control)
• Strong knowledge of embedded platforms, such as RTOS and application development environments (Matlab/Simulink)
• Ability to guide technical design and architecture decisions
• Structured and detail-oriented working style
• Team-oriented, proactive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills; structured, proactive and results-oriented; effective at coaching less-experienced engineers.

• The base pay for this position ranges from $105,000 - $120,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary.
