Development Coordinator (Temporary)

Compass Family Services is a 100+ year old nonprofit working on the front lines of San Francisco’s homeless crisis. We provide families experiencing or at risk of homelessness with comprehensive support to address immediate needs and ensure long-term success.

About the role

This is a temporary, in-person position located at 37 Grove St., San Francisco, with some work at other sites. The role starts immediately after hire and runs through December 18th.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving in-kind gifts from donors and help manage the Holiday gift pop-up shop.
• Support data entry, mailings, and other administrative tasks.
• Assist with on-site corporate and group volunteering events.

Requirements

• Energetic and enthusiastic about the holidays.
• Passion for the mission of Compass Family Services.
• Competency with Excel and Word or similar programs; Salesforce experience preferred.
• Skilled at managing details and logistics.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage volunteers and interact with donors and clients.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and spend hours on your feet.
• Work experience preferred, especially in customer service.
• Fluent Spanish speakers will receive extra consideration (all applicants encouraged to apply).

Pay

$28 per hour. This is a non-benefit-eligible role.
