Development & Communications Specialist

ASISTA is a national nonprofit that provides training, technical assistance, and policy advocacy for immigration practitioners serving immigrant survivors of gender-based violence. In a moment when immigrant communities face an increasingly hostile legal and political environment, our work has never been more urgent and needed.

About the role

We're hiring a part-time Development & Communications Specialist (17.5 hours/week) to help us build the fundraising and communications infrastructure that will sustain this work for years to come.

Responsibilities

• Lead outreach to corporate sponsors, annual donors, and prospective members, managing the full solicitation lifecycle from research to signed agreement.
• Manage our social media presence.
• Improve our website.
• Design our annual report.
• Produce our member newsletter.
• Work directly with the Executive Director and report progress to our Fundraising Committee.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in communications, fundraising, or development.
• Strong writing skills.
• Comfort producing polished content independently using tools like Canva.
• Experience with a CRM.
• A genuine commitment to immigrant rights and gender justice.

Pay

$31,850–$35,490/year (17.5 hrs/week) | Full-time equivalent $63,700–$70,980

Schedule

17.5 hours/week, fully remote (East Coast preferred)
