Job Description
The Foundations of Kaleida Health, including The Children's Hospital of Buffalo Foundation and The Kaleida Health Foundation, supports programs, equipment, and technology at WNY's premier health care system and the region's only pediatric hospital, Golisano Children's Hospital (GCH) of Buffalo.
About the Role
This position supports the Manager of Annual Giving in managing and executing leadership and annual giving programs for the Foundation of Kaleida Health. It involves supporting a multi-channel annual giving program with a focus on digital fundraising, direct mail, and data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities
- Supports the comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving program with a strong emphasis on digital fundraising, direct mail, and data-driven strategy.
- Manages a portfolio of 50-75 leadership level donors and prospects ($1,000 or more donors who have the potential to make a major gift of $25,000 or more) to build into the Foundations' donor pipeline and successfully transition relationships to major gift officers.
- Supports initiatives such as Giving Day For Kids, Patricia Allen Fund season campaign, employee and grateful patient giving, and a robust annual direct mail program.
- Requires an understanding of annual giving best practices, strong project management skills, a willingness to engage with data and analytics, and a creative approach to donor engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Required.
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, communication, project management, or related fields with 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Preferred experience in healthcare philanthropy.
- Preferred experience with Raiser’s Edge or other donor databases.
- Preferred experience with Mail Chimp or other email marketing systems/analytics tools.
- Comfort reviewing data, mail lists, identifying insights, and using metrics to inform strategy.
