The organization identifies early-stage social entrepreneurs and provides funding, professional development, and community connections to help them create lasting social impact.About the OpportunityThe Development Associate supports the Development team by managing donor data, processing gifts, conducting prospect research, and strengthening fundraising systems and processes. This role ensures accurate information management and effective coordination across teams to support strong relationships with funders and advance the organization’s resource development efforts.Responsibilities• Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.• Review and correct data inconsistencies or errors and flag issues when appropriate.• Generate reports and donor lists to support fundraising planning and decision-making.• Process incoming gifts accurately and promptly in collaboration with Finance.• Prepare personalized gift acknowledgments and tax receipts.• Document gift decisions, follow-up actions, and next steps clearly.• Conduct research on prospective funders and prepare briefing materials.• Maintain prospect portfolios, including relationship history, activity, and next steps.• Coordinate Development team tasks, deliverables, and deadlines.• Support donor engagement activities, including events and communications.• Assist with annual reports and cross-functional projects requiring Development team input.• Identify and recommend improvements to recurring processes, systems, and tools.Requirements• Experience in operations, administration, research, data management, fundraising, or a related field requiring organized information and adherence to established processes.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while communicating effectively.• Clear, respectful, and adaptable communication skills for working with diverse audiences.• Collaborative approach with the ability to share information and coordinate effectively across teams.• Awareness of equity and inclusion in workplace practices.• Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and databases; experience with Excel or Salesforce is beneficial.• Interest in and commitment to supporting the organization’s social impact mission.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Base salary: $81,500 per year.Benefits & Perks• Up to 27 days of paid time off annually, plus 9 paid holidays and a 10-day winter break.• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.• 16 weeks of paid parental leave.• 12 weeks of paid personal sick leave.• $100 monthly well-being stipend.• $100 monthly wireless stipend.• 403(b) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions of up to 7%.
